They said that they would let me keep my shirt on just this once, as long as I agreed not to wear any shoes or attempt to serve anyone. Bloody good breakfast. 😁

No matter how old you get, or how many pupils you work with, getting a card like this will never lose its impact.

The order page for both books from Aneurysm Cupcake will be deactivated tonight. A new page will be in place on Monday (release day for Any Body Can Murder), but there will be no more author signatures or free shipping. Other sites unaffected of course. Today's your last chance!

Tomorrow is the LAST DAY to order a signed paperback of either book from The Weapon and the Fruit series (witty British whodunnits). Free UK shipping also ends after tomorrow. Any Body Can Murder is out this coming Monday. From then, direct orders come straight from the printer.

You know what they say about not making your dogs do anything you wouldn't do yourself on a hot day? Well trust me, it's fine. Dogs don't weigh as much as us and their skin is even better equipped for hot pavement than ours. Don't leave them in the car though!

Only one week left to order signed copies, and the copies I have available are down to single figures. Offer ends on the 3rd of July. FREE UK Shipping still available until then. ⏳✍🏻📚📬 Only lovers of murder mysteries and British humour need apply. Being a bit unusual helps.

Ready to go!
June 21, 2025 at 8:42 AM
It's a beautiful day to go to a craft fair and pick up some new books.

Have you received any dodgy looking emails lately? What if one was a bit more interesting than a typical advance fee scam and in fact was a prelude to a murder plot? And what if you got to read the entire plot from the comfort of your own home or a beach? Pre-order and you can!

This Saturday I will be signing and selling paperbacks in Ware, where you can get your hands on all sorts of handmade bits and pieces, including cakes and jewellery, and decorations for your front garden.

Three weeks until launch. That's enough time to read the first book if you haven't yet (though the two stand alone and do not spoil each other). Two amusing British mysteries, ideal for the beach. Personalised signed copies of each can be ordered until the 3rd of July.

The Weapon and the Fruit: Any Body Can Murder, a witty British mystery, follows a serial killer posing as an email scammer fond of Agatha Christie, baiting a barefoot Aussie P.I. with an ABC-inspired scheme. Pre-order from aneurysmcupcake.com or your preferred online seller.

Time to see what all the fuss is about. Based on a recommendation from the same person who recommended one of my favourite books ever. So no pressure! 😁
June 4, 2025 at 8:07 AM
Reviews for The Weapon and the Fruit: Any Body Can Murder are already coming in. You can pre-order your copy up until the 3rd of July online in the usual places, or directly from Aneurysm Cupcake with a personalised signature, a couple of bookmarks and free UK shipping.

I am absolutely over the moon with this review 😁.

ARC signup is now closed but you can pre-order your own copy from the Aneurysm Cupcake website, or an online bookseller of your choice. Offer of author signature, free bookmarks and free UK shipping ends on the 3rd of July!

If you're someone who hates wearing shoes, perhaps you sometimes think about choosing not to, or wish you could. Maybe you think it's not realistic; that society wouldn't always let you go barefoot. But what if it just takes a bit of determination? You'd enjoy these books.

Ready for Folk and Bespoke in Dunmow today. We open in half an hour...

Another very positive review over on Instagram today. For all its flaws, (though which platform doesn't have flaws in abundance?) Insta is definitely the most conducive to finding friendly happy readers and reviewers. If you'd like a FREE ARC, signups close in one week!

My debut novel has just met its baby brother. Strictly these aren't available until the 7th July, but there might be workarounds for anyone especially keen to get in early.

I'll be signing and selling here. If you're in Essex come and say hi on Sunday 25th May, at Foakes Hall, Dunmow. Visit the Folk and Bespoke site for more info. It's an independent craft fair. A whole array of indie businesses, much more than just authors and their books!
