If I wasn’t in the pain that I was in, I would have left. But I was already there and was in too much pain to keep driving. Thankfully my hubby showed up and stood guard over me the rest of my time in there. He struggled himself not to say something to her when she eventually came back in the room.

It’s always even more shocking when it’s a woman doctor that says that shit. Like keep your weird ass cultural patriarchy bullshit out of medicine and out of my decision with what I do with my own womb.

I spoke with the xray tech about what had happened and she cried with me. She gave me the information to file the complaint. It’s absolutely exhausting constantly being told my broken ovaries should be saved for a man’s benefit. Now my healthcare is up against imaginary men’s desires. Insane.
