No matter how many books one writes, the thrill of a release never gets old. My holiday romance releases Nov 25, but the paperback is now out and ranked 39 on Amazon's top 100. Heartfelt thanks to my readers for their support. www.amazon.ca/dp/1773921037 #holidayromance #billionaireromance

How many people believe in love at first sight? Has this ever happened to you?
According to the Singles in America Survey, around 60% of singles believe in love at first sight. And this trope, love at first sight, is the main theme for my upcoming novel, Moonlight, Snowflakes, and Mistletoe.

Hello, October, and to the magic you bring:
from colorful leaves drifting through our yards,
shadowy nights with moonlight howls,
spooky pumpkins of all sizes,
and our sour faces when snow begins to tumble.
Oh well...
you're here now.
Wishing everyone an awesome BOO-tober!

Passion. All I want is to own a private island that has internet and all the "vacation" elements, like a house and cook, so I can write all day long. I'd say a housemaid but I'm a clean person. So...anyone own a magic wand?

I know my energy level drops several notches when I’m stressed or upset. My go-to for feeling better is writing—I pour all that frustration into my words.
What about you? What works for you? Yoga? Meditation? The gym?

It depends on the character & situation. A cuss doesn't have to be the "F" bomb only. A tough teen in my thriller Doorman's Creek with a history of neglect, drops an F bomb frequently, but fits his dialogue & personality. However, overuse that word & it loses its emphasis. Do your characters swear?

Happy September.

This month...

What I wish is for everyone to have a September that takes you out to a farm to pick apples; to go outside as a family and rake the leaves—remembering to jump into one or two of those big piles. Have fun, because you never know what tomorrow will bring.

Your characters invade your thoughts—they demand action, want their stories told. It's better to write one sentence a day than invent another excuse. That one sentence builds momentum, and now your characters have come out to play.
So take charge. One word becomes two, ten, a hundred—Keep going.

May August bring you comfort and good health. Hold your family close, for time moves swiftly. Sooner than later, someone you love may face a difficult journey, and because of the deep love you carry for them, you will be swept alongside them. Let us cherish the company of those we love while we can.

I want to extend another heartfelt thank you to all who voted for me in the Book Editor category. Second place. I told my fellow editors at TWRP we are all winners. We take immense pride in our shared passion for mentoring and supporting our authors, and that's something I am very proud of.

My birthday post today is: 67 is the new 47. Aches and pain are just filters in life to let us know we're still alive. 2025 goal: write like there's no tomorrow and finish 4 new novels. #amwriting #determination #writinggoal #2025resolution

Have faith in your ability. Ignore naysayers.
If you want to succeed in life you need to remove those ever-present excuses bubbling up within.

As writers, we sometimes repeat a word in our tales without realizing it until your editor points it out. Admitting I'm guilty overusing "smiles". What's your repetitive word or phrase?

I'm so sorry for your loss. My bull terrier passed away suddenly at the end of May, so I feel your pain.
