Yeah, I confess I used to think you were inflating RFK's importance to justify covering him as heavily as you did. Looking back, I was obviously wrong!

My second occasion in a very short time to be shocked and disappointed by Newsom (the first time was the Steve Bannon interview).

Noam Chomsky said almost exactly this one of the two times I saw him in person, at an Occupy rally. It felt both obvious and shocking.

Plus I would bet he often creates a ruckus.

Me too.

Wow – I think you’re right. They obviously just plucked the word from ‘carpe diem’ without correcting its form.

Withhold federal funding from those who do… Hospital cafeterias? Etc.
February 7, 2025 at 4:45 PM
Thank you – I would like this ten times if I could.
February 7, 2025 at 4:44 PM
I'm not in the least surprised. What does surprise me is that they can be shamed. That's good news.
February 6, 2025 at 9:26 PM
My only quibble: we’re in one.
February 6, 2025 at 4:15 PM
If it's good enough for the Supreme Court, it's good enough for Elon.
February 5, 2025 at 9:38 PM
Thank God this is finally happening.

From what I read, Putin doesn't seem to be interested in T***p's attempts to quickly end the Ukraine war, so maybe T***p will slap punitive tariffs on them. If he does, all evidence suggests that they won't care.

Took a split second for the penny to drop… but whoa, yes. What a chilling parallel.

Not sure if it would work here, but on Reddit people have been outing bots in comment threads by instructing them the way you would instruct a chat bot (to write a poem on a particular subject, for example) and seeing what they do. The results have been pretty remarkable.

Wow - I had assumed it was at least a little bit ambiguous. It isn't, at all.
January 20, 2025 at 10:12 PM
Well he did wear it out very quickly - that suggests efficiency.
