Here’s the truth: the Constitution was meant to grow.
It begins, “to form a more perfect union” — not a finished one.

Its principles — liberty, equality, justice — were never meant to be trapped in 1789. They were meant to guide us as we evolve, morally and socially.

A living Constitution is the only way democracy survives new eras — from civil rights to climate action, from digital privacy to bodily autonomy.

So how do we fight back?

✅ Reclaim the moral story. Freedom grows when everyone counts.
✅ Use the courts strategically. Support groups fighting for rights and fair judges.
✅ Elect bold leaders. Codify voting, reproductive, and climate protections.

So how do we fight back?

✅ Reform democracy itself. Ranked-choice voting, ethics rules, fair maps, civic education.
✅ Tell the bigger story. Democracy isn’t a relic — it’s a living promise we renew together.

Originalism says: “Our Constitution is perfect because it’s old.”
Democracy says: “Our Constitution is sacred because we keep making it better.”

The question before us isn’t just legal — it’s spiritual:
Will we let the past rule us, or will we keep perfecting the promise of America?
