we also tested for phylogenetic signal in individual species' abundance changes in response to transplanting. in contrast with other evidence of phylogenetically clustered extinction and decline, we did not find significant phylogenetic signal in abundance change.

we found that species richness and Shannon diversity (mostly) increased with warming and decreased with cooling, while phylogenetic diversity increased with cooling and did not change with warming.
