According to @abcnewsbot.bsky.social "the Coalition would be in the best to form government if an election was held today" according to pollster @yougov.co.uk. Should this be taken into consideration when considering these poll results? #auspol @vanbadham.bsky.social

If you’re a Liberal party voter (and a lot are) what do you think about this?

You ok with it?
Think it’s good tactics?

Not doing things that tough obviously!

One of the essays in Roxane Gay’s book “Opinions” tells how a quick snapshot or comment can be misconstrued, without there being enough background or nuance to an argument or point of view. A day in the life of social media, really. This article captures it, tongue in cheek @roxanegay.bsky.social
Did You Even Consider Every Possible Lived Experience Before Recklessly Posting Your Chili Recipe on Social Media?
Look, I get it. You thought what you posted was innocuous. Still, did you stop to think about everyone who has ever lived and how it could make the...

Just finished this one by @peterpolites.bsky.social that I picked up from a street library. Great exploration of the Sydney psyche, through the lens of a gay Greek man. I was today old when I realised that the suburb Punchbowl was named for its topography - “resembling a low, wide serving bowl”.

A great shopping list of the achievements of a Labor government since 2022 - "Keeping us out of recession. 1.1 million jobs. Getting inflation from a six to a two. Making sure that people's living standards are looked after — from a six to a two. Completing the NBN. Finishing Gonski…” #auspol

It is. He had EVERY CHANCE to work with Labor’s proposed disinformation legislation but presented the opportunity to do the work, he simply blocked it. Now, we have nothing. Now, he complains. Pure grandstanding Indy ineptitude and the greens were just as bad. #auspol
Absolutely extraordinary - cheap politics from David Pocock. I expected way better from him. Here he is just 2 months ago OPPOSING the Albanese government's disinformation Bill which he now berates the government for not passing #auspol www.canberratimes.com.au/story/881956...

1) join as many local groups as you can: your labor union, your local church, start a dog walking club, anything. Introduce yourself to your neighbours. Your boss will never protect you, but deep networks in your community will.
2) join demonstrations, resist. Courage calls to courage everywhere.
Curious what everyone thinks is the best way to have a positive or any impact on the country, during the first 30 days of the new administration.
