I was in the same boat for the 2.0 update and i’m so happy i salvaged my island i hadn’t touched in 1.5 years because it meant i got to experience the new content faster and i had a good stockpile of materials, money, and decor/clothing items to work with. Starting over is a big time commitment imo.

The movement, combat, upgrades, map, characters, music, ambience, colors, reactionary world, literally everything feels like it’s been expanded upon. I’m so fascinated by it all.
