The problem is, and it's politically unfeasible to say, that safety should come before maybe one or two businesses, concerns or even profits.
This isn’t about a theoretical commitment to Vision Zero. It’s taking feedback seriously where roadway redesign could have unintended/secondary impacts that can be mitigated by improving design. Charging ahead w studies elsewhere showing ⬆️sales but ignoring real biz feedback here undercuts progress.

@mbta.com the driver of the D line train to Riverside just refused to open the door and let us out. Car 3608A at 5:00 at the Fenway stop. Multiple people pressed the stop request and verbally requested for him to open the door and he ignored all of us.

Bike friends, Pioneers run club is looking for bike marshalls for their 26.true marathon - it’s an unofficial marathon hitting almost every neighborhood in Boston. You may remember last year, Ed Flynn went off on a tirade about this race. So obviously, it’s a lot of fun and great vibes.

Bike friends, Pioneers run club is looking for bike marshalls for their 26.true marathon - it’s an unofficial marathon hitting almost every neighborhood in Boston. You may remember last year, Ed Flynn went off on a tirade about this race. So obviously, it’s a lot of fun and great vibes.
@somervilleinfr1.bsky.social who plows Draw 7 park and the Charlestown connector? Someone cleared the connector but it’s now a sheet of ice. But Draw 7 is untouched so the connector is a dead end. The path from Assembly to the Wellington bridge is well cleared, though!

Looks like we have our first abutter lawsuit for an #MBTA communities project. 5-7 Piper Road in #Lexington made it through the site plan review process, and now the neighboring Temple Enumah is suing to annul the decision.
