The Presidents’ Day I needed. It felt good to make a sign by hand and join with many (millions! we decided) to trouble the waters. $$ supporting efforts to challenge injustices of this term in the courts will probably go further; getting in the streets with our bodies and voices has power too.

It’s my last night of sermon-making for the amazing people I have pastored for 9 years. I will miss the quiet intimacy of this hour when I am polishing it off, and blessing it for ears that will listen tomorrow.
