Another YA fantasy I really enjoyed lately: These Stolen Lives by Sharada Keats. Seamless worldbuilding, and I was low key obsessed with the chapter titles when I figured out where they came from ☺️ so brilliant.

In other cool news, my uncle was one of the ten people interviewed and featured in this book coming out in August, “Lessons from the Mountaintop: Ten Modern Mystics and their Extraordinary Lives” by Lawrence Pintak. Just pre-ordered my copy from Bookshop.org and I’m super psyched!

I’ve been reading lots of YA lately on the hunt for comps for my ms, and even though it won’t work as a comp I absolutely *loved* All The Wind In The World by Samantha Mabry. The way the relationship tension got my heart rate up!! I was so invested!

The moon has been particularly beautiful lately. Of course pictures just couldn’t capture it, which was sad. But then maybe it’s not so sad after all, because there’s something magical about anything you just have to see with your eyes

These days I scribble words, and they may not be very insightful or unique or artfully cobbled together, but I’m releasing them into the world b/c no one is going to stop us from using our voices, saying our truths, sharing our overlapping universes. So here’s a poem I wrote. Love u all, stay human💕

With all the insanity of this current administration, it’s so easy to feel helpless and small; but in the hopes that small actions can still matter, here’s one that I did to protect birthright citizenship that you can too:

Hey #writingcommunity ! I’m trying something out to get my writing juices flowing.

I’m pulling a new Tarot card every day (I’m using the wildwood tarot) to use as inspiration. I thought maybe others might want to join in!

So here’s today’s pull: the QUEEN OF ARROWS/ THE SWAN

Wrote this last week to process feelings. Still in the processing process I think. But glad I’m here!
