I heard this phrase a yrs ago, but it’s stuck with me.

What’s been your biggest pivot?

🎓 At university I was a waiter🍴

💻 Early in my career I learned technical skills (eg financial models)

The last 15yrs I’ve led & coached big teams.

🙌🏼 Helping others has fuelled my career 🙌🏼

It’s not easy, but how you show up has a ripple effect on the people around you.

Be the light and send a positive ripple.

When we look forwards and aim to make progress each day, over the span of a year we can improve beyond our dreams.

Don’t get hung up on past mistakes.

You may have slipped in some of your new year goals.

Saw this on LinkedIn, credit to Omar Halabieh. He has a great website with lots of practical #leadership advice.

I see this in my kids.
They will copy my behaviour much more than listen to my advice.

So in 2025 I will be using my phone less. (I’ve set app time limits).

What are you changing?

Communication is such a key skill for so many professionals, as we get judged by the impression we give not just the actual quality of our work.

Sometime life is like a game of whack-a-mole.

You have to keep addressing one issue after the other.

😁Approach it with a smile

🎮 know it is temporary like any game

🐾 surround yourself with people that will cheer you on.

Happy Friday, you made it through the week.

Take time to appreciate the simple things in life.

I like mince pies. However I had a couple of years where I lived away from the UK and couldn’t get any mince pies.

Now every Christmas season I really really appreciate them.

Today was extra cool cos I was given this mince pie. 🍀

Confidence is fragile.

There are times when you need to gear yourself up for an event, or just to get thru the day.

🎵 Music can tap into your subconscious and lift you into a more confident mood.

Below are the lyrics from a Carrie Underwood song that helps me.

Which #powersongs help you?

💰Salary isn’t everything about a job. But sometimes your skills, hard work, or expertise, are not fairly rewarded.

❤️ So if you don’t feel valued, it’s worth thinking about if you are in the right company.

🥳 January can be a fab time to move as new projects/goals/budgets lead to more new roles.

I’m sharing the pic below for two reasons:
* the spread of wealth in the countries is interesting
* it helps illustrate the importance of key metrics and how they are defined. Both are an average but show a different outcome.

I ❤️ Christmas. It’s a fun time of the year. 🎄

However, there is a lot to do and without thinking about your own wellbeing you end up with 🪫 .

Getting some movement in is my favourite. 👟
