Fast forward to Ph.D, I think back on this day a lot. You can’t have resilience without experience. And often what we experience that lead to resilience are things we would never choose.

Resilience is actually a bit more nuanced. It includes both anticipating and reducing potential risks as well as surrounding/developing a person with support and resources so that when hard things happen, they are equipped. Knowing more, I can get behind resilience in healthcare.

I struggled with the concept of resilience in healthcare. If we work towards more resilient healthcare workers, wouldn't that just enable the system to beat them up harder?
