Money! I moved abroad and was ineligible for any postdoc funding as a non European but could get PhD funding. But I think it differs depending on disciplines. I have a friend who had a PhD in pharmacology and did another in law

It is inevitable that devastated families will cling to what the police tell them so shoddy policing practices lead to horrible situations like this. A parallel example is the US yogurt shop murders where teens confessed under coercive police interrogation and in the absence of any other evidence
