I'm walking the same path with my brother at the moment (pancreatic cancer), trying to support my SIL & family, reassuring them that the changes that are happening are all normal, part of the process & not distressing to him. He will be gone in a day or so now...thinking of you & Tony....

I decided to boycott the (ex) Fonterra brands - almost NO dairy producers are NZ owned now. Nearly all trace back to overseas owners - Chinese, French, Singaporean or Swedish. Tatua are NZ, but don't make normal cheese, butter or milk.

I'm so sorry - had similar with my mum. She just kept hanging on until I told her it was ok for her to go, we would be alright. That was what she needed to hear, & slipped away a couple of hours later.
