Chimere (3)”, collage and mixed media on handmade watercolor paper, 12”x18”. The title is French for Chimera, a hybrid mythological creature. It also translates to “wild dream”. In these pieces, imagined combinations of living forms collect in new ways, maybe angels, plasmoids, power clusters.

Another new piece titled “Chimere (2)” (French for Chimera, a hybrid mythological creature). The pieces in this series have an ornamental quality to them, so the French spelling is a nod to the the Baroque period in France, a time of extravagance and opulence that led to the 1789 French Revolution.
