Yeah, our local public high school reached the championship game in back to back seasons only to lose oth times to a large private school in the Atlanta area. We are restricted to kids in our district, whereas the private schools can take any student athlete they like.

Not here anymore. They’ve really screwed up the high school sports here. Private schools compete with public schools and then the travel across the entire state. The GHSA has turned rogue.

When I was in high school they had a North Georgia championship and a South Georgia championship and then those two met for the state title. It helped with the travel. Now, a team in Dalton might travel to Savannah. It’s a poor set up.
