Yeah, but it’s a different kind of politics than the gov. Gov politics follows from money and power, but it's the people power that creates it. Every big win in history, civil rights, labor laws, and the few environmental protections we have came from bigger people movements first, not government.

‘Because you have to’ isn’t a reason, it’s surrender to the status quo. The system that protected fossil fuel profits won’t fix itself. Real change comes from outside: unions putting climate in contracts, communities divesting from polluters, people organizing, and movements forcing power to bend.

I'm only going off the existing track record, but if you have a reason to have faith, I'm all ears.
