Beautiful farmers market vegetables on a warm February day. This CSA market is held year round on the grounds of the Carter Center, and is the best use of a presidential library that I can think of.

Attended a Christmas tree bonfire in Peachtree City last night. A guy has a huge fire pit and burns 120 trees (donated by neighbors and a Boy Scout troop). The whole neighborhood turns out..it’s a 20-year tradition.

Yesterday I scored the last copy of Mariann Budde’s book from Parnassas Books (in Nashville, author Anne Patchett’s wonderful store). Trust an Episcopal Priest to speak truth to power.

We cancelled our Amazon Prime and deleted our account (for a lot of reasons named Jeff Bezos). Birdie and I have no regrets.
