ICE agents eat at small-town Mexican restaurant — then detain workers
“Would your mama be proud of you right now?” a bystander said as agents returned at closing time to nab the workers.

The first thing Virginia Spanberger did after being sworn in as Governor of Virginia was repeal Youngkin’s executive order requiring state and local law enforcement to cooperate with ICE.

This is the kind of leadership Democratic governors nationwide should be emulating.

Once ethical attorneys resign, there is an opening for those willing to subordinate their ethics for power. Stay in office. Force the administration to dismiss you. Uphold the rule of law by refusing to co-opt the courts for unjust ends. Remember your duty of candor. Privilege is not absolute.
Scoop from @samanthamichaels.bsky.social / @motherjones.com: More prosecutors are preparing to bail from US Attys Office in Minnesota, because what lawyer with a conscience wants to carry out the twisted orders of a corrupted Justice Department? Truly a bad situation.
Minnesota US Attorney’s Office is bracing for a new wave of resignations
Prosecutors are alarmed by the administration's response to Renée Good's killing.

We are America. How could you possibly target Native Americans - with ICE Officers - and then imprison us? That is impossible. It's legally impossible to do that. - Chase Iron Eyes

The only lawless behavior I see in this video is ICE harassing and threatening people for no good reason.

ICE authority is limited by federal law. They exist for immigration enforcement only. They do not have general police powers. (8 U.S.C. § 1357)

This is what bravery, courage, and patriotism look like.
ICE out of Minnesota. When harm hits this state, communities show up for one another—rain or shine, heat or snow. Neighbors are demanding protection from a fascist regime and justice for Renee and all those killed by ICE. Footage: Jan. 10, 2026. #ChoosePeaceNotChaos

Gov. Walz to MS NOW:

"Two days ago it was Elissa Slotkin. Last week it was Jerome Powell. Before that, Mark Kelly. Weaponizing the justice system … is a dangerous, authoritarian tactic.

"The only person not being investigated for the shooting of Renee Good is the federal agent who shot her."
