this is a description to assert that i am not, in fact, a bot.
thank you for replying. I see now what you mean, and when put like that, I actually agree, yes. many Americans take for granted the casual killing power of firearms, and we tend to be much more accustomed to a level of violence that simply doesn't exist in other parts of the world, which kinda sucks

hopefully this isn't too heavy-handed - I don't actually like getting in internet arguments tbh - I just saw your post, and it's a topic that I'm interested in and passionate about.

I'm not going to argue that having access to guns allows for a better society - I think it does, and I'm fairly sure in that opinion, but I can imagine arguments that go either way, so I'm not going to argue it - but I will argue that having access to guns is not equivalent to drying human organs.

if your argument is simply that people having guns gives you the same reaction as people drying human organs, that's to some extent an appeal to disgust. if it isn't, then fair play, I'd be interested in hearing that argument. if it is, then I'd be a little bit more weary about that, if I were you.

I mean, the difference is that to get human organs to dry someone must *necessarily* have died or othewise been grievously injured, whereas simply owning or having access to a gun does not necessarily imply that.

I don't personally own any firearms, but I am personally the specific kind of autistic that really likes guns, so that definitely clouds my judgment. also, in fairness, the US is a haven for really poorly vetted gun owners and absolute crazies.

I'm going to push back on that just a little bit - there are absolutely some insane gun owners, but I would argue that comparing owning a gun to drying human organs is a little bit disingenuous. gun ownership is not necessarily always for killing people or self-defense, some people just like guns.

can't say for anyone else but I personally would really appreciate it. not necessarily an issue with you specifically, but I've gone out of my way to mute accounts that were being retweeted that only posted safe for work or "suggestive" art
