Carsick: John Waters Hitchhikes Across America is Great! What an interesting way to mix a memoir with some fantasizing (and a little catastrophizing, ha!). Inspiring me to do a Waters movie marathon! Also, love that there's a playlist!

8 1 1 4 by Joshua Hull - all the Trigger Warnings. It was terrifying, crept into my dreams, disturbing. Might not be for everyone, all these things mean 'great'! I loved how he still had a little pop culture humor throughout. And that he loves The Bends. My Iron Lung was my jam. 8114.

River Woman, River Demon by Jennifer Givhan was great. Sad and terrifying. I fall for a story that plays with memories and what is true. Also, magic! “Reality doesn’t matter. Only memories.” “Light and Shadow are not binaries.” "Shadow can protect us.”

Good Boy by Neil McRobert was great! "You can only take so much looking away before you start to feel things are your fault.” “The worst is always something you haven’t thought of yet.”

Happy V/H/S/Halloween! (Love this franchise. There's one from the folks who made [REC]. Maybe a sign to finish that franchise!)

The Macabre by Kosoko Jackson was amazing!!! A quest to find cursed art!! "Something inside him knew being erased was worse than dying.” “What do you do when art scares you?” “I stare right back at it.” Also, check out the gorgeous book. Red painted edges, the paintings, and more!!!

Tiny Threads by Lilliam Rivera was great!!! Not enough characters in a post to talk about all the things. Too many horrors we hide behind our masks, but Samara tries to wear them fashionably.
