Itamar Ben-Gvir called them “heroes” for murdering Palestinians.

I expect that accountability for this will be no better than for Sde Teiman.

Interestingly, quite a few of the ultra-orthodox ones are against Zionism because it is a battle for this world, and they are primarily concerned with the next.

You frequently see ultra-orthodox Jews at demonstrations around the world in favour of Palestine.

Have you looked at Google’s “Carbon” project? Trying to redo C++ without the legacy baggage.

Uh-oh ... I feel the 🇨🇦 tariffs coming on ...

I was trying to look at some really tiny text the other day, and thinking about buying a magnifying glass.

And then I realized: my new mobile phone camera has a macro mode.

I preferred Aldus FreeHand, back in my Mac days. Why? Because it had the option to change the control point handle behaviour from smooth to corner and back again. Boon for somebody who couldn’t actually draw.

Nowadays I might use Inkscape, but Blender has drawing tools that work in 3D ...

Don’t remember passwords; write them down.

You know how to keep your credit cards and house keys safe from being stolen, right? Put your passwords with those.

The Republican Party is the reason why America can’t have nice things.

(Greetings from 🇳🇿, which is a multiparty democracy.)

Roger Moore: the least thuglike of them all.

Too much of a gentleman, I suppose. He was doing Bond as “The Saint”, because that’s what he was.

How do you think companies like Facebook, Google and Microsoft do it?

They hire people who know the code and can contribute patches to it.

I read a description of Verhoeven’s directing technique. You know the guy who gets shot to death by the ED-209 robot? Verhoeven rehearsed him by playing the part of the robot and chasing him all round the boardroom.

So, what you’re saying is, if you like reading, you should live in a mildly earthquake-prone zone? 😎

I had no idea he did the screenplay for that.

I suspect the whole movie look is very much Terry Gilliam, though.

Bureaucrats seeking the death penalty for doing repairs without filling out the paperwork ... still crazier than current reality, but for how long ...

So, I’ve been doing web intranet stuff in Python, using HyperCorn. But I’ve been thinking of upping my game.

Any opinions on Quart versus Starlette?

Also, Emacs works great with indentation-controlled languages.

Still, I would say that a multiparty democracy caters better for such birds-of-a-feather than the current 🇺🇸 system of trying to jam every possible political viewpoint into two unwieldy and fractious coalitions, just to get into power.

You need to get away from the “winner-take-all” mentality.

Normally with any conspiracy, somebody is benefitting from it.

But with the whole anti-vax thing, it just doesn’t make sense. Where is the profit? Do they really want to select themselves out of the gene pool?
