I happened to be waiting for the train at Borough Hall when this was supposed to be happening this morning. Sent this text to my husband at that time.
Copy of a text message that says “I'm on the 4/5 platform at Borough Hall and a photographer is wandering around asking if we've seen any other photographers so l asked why are all these photographers here. He said "oh, the mayor is supposed to be here." Many others waiting for the train joined me in a collective groan. But then I said loudly "don't let him stand too close to the edge of the platform while I'm here because it won't end well." The laughter is still echoing through the tunnel. Train just arrived. He's safe.

This is about as useless as the MTA’s “guardrails” on the subway turnstiles that are supposed to stop fare jumpers. Grifter’s gonna keep grifting!!
Gov. Kathy Hochul is set to announce that she won't remove Mayor Eric Adams at this time, but intends to impose guardrails on his administration.
