So. If you can, please help out folks like me who are stuck in this crazy immunocompromised world and get whatever vaccines you can tolerate.
Thanks.

@raptornx01@bsky.social reading in order was my inclination but … I’m going to read the first book in each of the 5 series and go from there!
@atalanta.bsky.social Once I get thru these, the library is my next stop!
Thanks again, everyone!

That stopped when I explained “I didn’t say you COULDN’T have an ashtray. I said we don’t have one. We’re a bookstore and I don’t want to set off the smoke detectors.”
He left after about 40 minutes because no one came to meet him.

I hosted him at a book signing and can confirm.
He also insisted on an ash tray and when I told him I couldn’t get one — it was a bookstore signing and books and Fire don’t go together well— he tried to lecture me on his right to an ashtray.

This reads exactly like the drafts of emails that my boss asks me to review and “clean up” before he send them.

Except my boss is DAR more coherent and intelligent: I usually just fix phrasing and grammar.

Hahahaa! Absolutely! And “National Brotherhood Week” unfortunately rings as true today as ever.

Some of it is now dated but still hilarious. I can’t even name a favorite, altho’ “Poisoning Pigeons in the Park” is certainly at the top of my list!

His LPs were a fixture in our home. My parents adored his humor and, listening to it as a now-70 year old, I finally understand ALL of it, not just the obvious stuff.
I pray he’s living his best life! He brought us so much happiness and laughter!

Truly? That’s wonderful! I didn’t look him up — just went from memory. Guess I assumed since he was an adult when I was a teen, he was “the late great.” Thanks for the correction!

That’s “STATE Liberty bells.

America 250 has been in the planning stages for over a year. Parades, Sarah Liberty bells, educational programs have all been part of the planning. This specific date for the parade on DC intended to honor the US Army’s birthday on 6.14.1775.

I’m in Philly area and I don’t see that. Each state has its own 250 committee and I’m focusing on PA, my state.

The parade itself isn’t the problem. What he’s turned it into is most definitely disgusting.

Perhaps but I refuse to give him the satisfaction of not celebrating our history. He’ll not take my pride in being an American from me.

America 250 has nothing to do with the current administration, despite what he says. It’s a nationwide celebration of the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence and events are scheduled nationwide across next year.
He wants to claim it but it ain’t his: work started years ago on it.
