Yes, we know that stuff isn't going to go away just because we momentarily move from it, but shifting the balance back more towards true connection and interaction is what is so very needed. We need to heard and understood, and we need to listen, and those things are easier to do with less noise.

Not only as an alternative platform to use during these unsettling times, but also to help justify the creation of a social space that again, does not seem to be built on dissecting us psychologically to determine how best to manipulate us.

It's gonna take a while for those of us who are not already plugged into the process of regularly creating content for social media (meaning artists, writers, and other creatives as well as those promoting a cause) to build our communities and links here, but I think it is important we do so.

Happy to be in a place where i at least don’t feel like I’m being tracked and sold to every minute. That said, I feel like a social media pioneer…I just parked the wagon in a clearing, and now I gotta get out, chop down a few trees, and figure out how to build a new cabin from scratch.
