Here’s another fun space video that can fit on Blue Sky.

To be fair I’m still firmly in the camp that 1B is underpowered & inefficient.

Block 1 is honestly such a beast. Yes it’s expensive but it has uses.

I still point to my Orange Paper & the J2X upper stage design.

Then comanifested cargo is even better given so much more launch mass.

Here’s a clip of the United States test firing a RD-180 engine before it would become part of the Atlas III rocket & later the extremely successful & (to date) perfectly reliable Atlas V rocket.

The test was performed at Marshall Space Flight Center in Alabama.
