Stinkfly (Coenomyia ferruginea). It is uncommon throughout its range. Larvae feed on the larvae of bark beetles and other insects in the top layers of soil. Adults are sluggish and are found on foliage.

Galeria bicolor, a False Bombadier Beetle. According to Wikipedia, its mimicry of the colors and shape of a bombardier beetle helps it evade predators.

Eastern Newt (likely looking for insects or other invertebrates). This is the terrestrial Red Eft stage of its life cycle. Photo by Thom. After 1 to 3 years spent on land, usually in forests, they return to water. Adults are almost totally aquatic.
