Thank you! I thought I was going crazy looking for that passive voice. It's not as unusual as it should be, though. Had clients who thought conditional and pluperfect constructions were "passive voice."

Tangentially related, but what's up with the actual Chief of Staff? We never hear about or from her (it's still a her, right?). Is that normal? Seems we heard a lot about/from Kelly, Mulvaney, or Meadows, back under Trump I.

I think there is also a question of pride and self regard. An independent AG is an important official with real power. Someone like Bondi is, at best, a subordinate taking and obeying orders. Not everyone wants to be a lap dog.

Even with the shorter episodes, they had to use stuff like the eagly hunting bit, which was beyond tedious, as filler. They dont seem to have a lot of story to tell this season. Maybe they'll cram it all in the last episode.
