When I hear someone is a 'internationally educated nurse' I think about what they bring to services from their experience all the way to sharing their culture and identity! We are all nurses regardless of where we studied but we also all individuals. Please treat every nurse as a person #RCN25

@rcn.org.uk This is what congress #RCN25 is about..... Meeting new and old colleagues from across the UK, discussing current issues the nursing profession face and developing our professional knowledge to help support our patients, their family, the wider community and our peers ❤️ Thank you everyone

Is nursing regulation fit for practise? In my personal opinion I don't think it is. Reports have highlighted racism, discrimination, poor practice when performing fitness to practice investigations and double standards between registered nurses and persistent unfounded malicious complaints

#RCN25 I am disappointed to hear that within nursing leadership this is still being discussed. We ALL should be providing person centred, culturally appropriate, personalised, SAFE care to each and every patient regardless of their culture, identity or beliefs within ALL areas of nursing!

In 2025 there are colleagues in our nursing family using food banks and struggling to afford essential bills, and we still do our job to the best of our ability making sure patients get the care they deserve! We need wages and investment into services before we lose more nurses due to burnout #RCN25

#RCN25 Feeling torn about whether the RCN should explore the establishment of a credit union. Both for and against have made valid discussion points and each speaker has spoke about their experiences and what they think the impact will be on OUR MEMBERS!

Powerful discussion around health inequalities and how nursing staff can help tackle health inequalities. From birth to death, through physical and mental health symptoms, many people often feel more barriers to access the right consultations, diagnosis and treatment due these inequalities.

It takes someone special to be a learning disability nurse! They are specialist practitioners who not only support their patients and families but also their colleagues in reducing barriers to people with learning disabilities accessing other health and social services ❤️

#RCN25 The RCN congress unanimously vote that the UK government including Crown Dependencies need to take urgent action to invest in social care! Social care should not be a postcode lottery and by not investing now it will overload and increase spending on a already broken system!!

#RCN25 Under Attack - Nursing in War.
I cannot even start to understand the resilience healthcare workers in war zones actually have and their experiences of not having access to things such as paracetamol to help innocent people injured by weapons made to inflict as much harm as possible 😔😥

@rcn.org.uk It was announced that Dr's will receive a significant pay rise and changes in working conditions compared to nurses potential 3% pay rise and more pressures on our services. We stand alongside our doctor colleagues. We ALL deserve fair pay for doing a safety critical job! #RCN25 #fairpay

All nurses should feel safe at work and if injuries do occur then swift treatment should be sought. I believe ALL nurses and colleagues with patient facing roles should receive breakaway training and regular psychological wellbeing supervision from their employers as a bare minimum! #RCN25
#rcn25 it should be an eternal shame to employers and to the government that there are nurses who need to take personal attack alarms to work, that people are working with concussion or pressured not to go to ED because of staffing. Employers must be accountable for protecting their staff!

Protect the future of Nursing before its too late! We need more nurses than we have ever needed but less people are joining the profession each year and students are burning out before they even qualify! They need our support! #RCN25 @faerycaramel.bsky.social #futurenurses

Assaults on Nursing staff and emergency workers happen more than what is reported and organisations NEED to provide a high duty of care including mental health support, deescalation training and seeing a zero tolerance policy upheld when staff are being assaulted in whatever form #RCN25

#RCN25 The traveller community experience significant barriers to accessing healthcare and social care. This is something I am actively working to breakdown these barriers especially within mental health in my local area, but always considering the wider community #mentalhealth #Nurse #travellers

Debating the impact of synthetic opioids not just on patients but their families, support networks and the nursing family. It changed from a matter of discussion to resolution, to ensure the right support is available for people impacted by synthetic opioids #RCN25 @rcn.org.uk
