That was the one that cracked me up! And the airport security is just tooo accurate.

I used to teach English in Europe and one of the British English resources I had was a domino game matching homophones. Saw/sore messed with my head Every. Single. Time.

I caught that one because I saw the original Wallace and Gromit first. He gets shorn and they say ‘we’ll call him Shaun/Shorn’.

That’s always my worry. And he’d be eligible not only to finish this term, but also to run two more times….

I once sat in a linguistics class in college where a guy went on a 90 second rant about people using ‘like’. The professor was quite amused when she noticed me quietly marking off how many times he himself had used it. I was up to at least two dozen when she asked me after he finished. :-)

Sooo glad it hasn’t hit Iceland and Greenland while I’ve been here! Weather’s been lovely: cool, no rain. Well, Greenland was frigid but that’s to be expected!! Not looking forward to returning to Austin summer…
