Fulham Fan, amateur historian regarding Craven Cottage and our club. I like music and art, photography, history (mainly WW1) Moggies (Cats) and archeaology. Now as old as I thought old was..! #Fulham #COYW #CravenCottage

much has changed since I started going in the mid sixties. Match day was Westlers hamburgers, and scalding hot, watered down Bovril, nowadays Victoria sponge and Champagne...(well, for the well off MC's and rich tourists)

The local residents of what is now posh Fulham are completely unaware of the Industrial history of the area, cement works, chemical factories, Oil terminals, wood yards, factories and wharves that I remember as a young fan...

The bliss of retirement. In the garden, which we have worked on for 40 years, (mainly my wife) waiting for the Hibachi to be ready, and I couldn't resist taking this photo... #Gardens #Streetphotos #gardenphotos

My Dad earned these during WW2, I finally had these restored. Dad was a regular in the army (Royal Warwickshire and Royal Engineers) did 16 years service and was in many theatres of the 2nd world war.
He fought against tyranny. RIP Dad...

A very rare photo of Derek Lampe using the groundstaff mower pre 1956-7 season, and Jimmy Hill and Tosh Chamberlain jumping over it - the backdrop being the quadrant of the old terraced Hammersmith End and Stevenage Road stand behind (Emma Lampe photo)

Some big, bald, bastard in the Hammersmith End praying in his church, wearing his 'HAYNES' scarf knitted by his mum in 1967..

as you say, good natured, very Fulham, but it was effective, and the Walsall fans for that game were fully supportive. it helped further the media involvement as they had an interesting story. I'll never forgive David Dein effectively saying Fulham will not be missed!!!

#Fulham #COYW #CravenCottage In the late 50's to early 60's, on the Stevenage Road, there stood a rare 'Type K' concrete telephone box, painted a light cream, with red glazing bars.
Here are some photos of it from that period, including one with Johnny Haynes photo bombing the box..!
