I keep thinking, "how in the world did we get here?" Then I remember, Springville's elementary school library had a row of Goosebumps, a row of VERY old children's book, and a row of old encyclopedias when Michael and I moved here 32 years ago. Education has been in defensive mode for decades.

I want to stay informed. I want to watch it. But I think I would shatter if I tried. I'll come back and try tomorrow.

Mine also sit on each other in the nesting boxes. Four boxes will be completely clear and ready, but no! Everybody has to take the two "special" ones. What makes a box special varies week to week.

I'm trying to rally Mainers to call Susan Collins and tell her to temporarily caucus with Dems to block everything until this DOGE insanity is ended. She's one of the very few who might be swayed to take action. Not likely, but doing nothing is guaranteed failure. We have to try.
