Bats found in buildings cannot be placed outside during late fall to early spring. They should be in a state of torpor, if awake, they likely need help.
Contain the battle in a pillowcase, place in a cardboard box and contact a local wildlife rehabber.
Please DO NOT put them outside!

Virginia Opossum's have a hard time in the cold Ontario Winters. Luckily for this little one he was brought to Foster Forest Wildlife where he is being rehydrated, and slowly fed easily digested nutrition to avoid "refeeding" syndrome.

All I want for Christmas is a home full of dogs! Specifically dogs whose family are away. We will be their family for the holidays!

Please share and help spread the word!

Grieving your parents is supposed to be a natural life experience. Yet it hurts so deeply. I find myself looking for messages from them everywhere. I fight the reality that they are gone. Grief bursts are intense. Can I adapt?

I am going to miss the hummingbird antics when they leave.
Sitting under the feeder to film.

PSA: wash your feeders in soap and water once a week. If very hot you may need to put new sugar water in twice a week.

Some cool images of another one of our carnivorous plants. This is a pitcher plant.
She needs a name.
Any suggestions?

The 1st picture was taken early in my career around 2008.

The 2nd picture was taken in 2023. Holding a red fox that was recovering from anesthesia.

Bookends to my career.

Red foxes were my Dad's favourite wild mammal. I don't think I will ever look at a Red fox and not think of my Dad. 🥰💔❤️‍🩹

This is a 1 yr old North American Porcupine his name is Quill.

I raised him from a very young age, as he was orphaned.

He recently reappeared near the den he used last winter.
It takes porcupines 3 years to grow to full maturity.
