Why would an all seeing all knowing God, who is supposed to be infallible, dictate how he wants us to live to disciples, peacefully and lovingly, but leave enough play in it, that people will interpret it differently, and fight about it.

And leave the children out of it until they are old enough to decide for themselves whether they want to believe it or not. It’s a form of brainwashing pushing it on them at a young age.

It can be very deadly too. The ones that are willing to take their beliefs to the extremes. That’s why I try to avoid religion religiously.
Like I say, if people wanna believe that, that’s fine, but don’t push on me or expect me to believe or live by what a Historical fiction book says.

Not to try and dis on your beliefs. But this guy you’re talking about was created by man not the other way around. It was man’s way of trying to explain what he is observing around him using the senses and abilities they had at the time.
