I’ve just logged in here for the first time this year just to catch up with you, and Rob Bohan! I found BS awkward so have continued on X, but I missed you ! 🥰

(2) My mother was a Scot, so our traditions are not far apart, and kind. Descriptors are odd aren’t they? Sometimes folk find it hard to say ‘they died’, easier maybe to say ‘they passed on’, ‘passed over’, ‘lost their life’ and on and on - you’ve sent be down a rabbit hole here Rob!

(1) It’s true; death can be described in many ways, but it’s only those left behind that try to make sense of it, be it following tradition to give a framework to grief or sadness or indifference; or by public and political manipulation for cause célèbre, ignoring those persons deeply affected.

Maybe not, but in the 60s, in most homes people smoked either cigarettes or tobacco, so it was ‘normal’ thus for children, sweet cigarettes with red tips, and sweet tobacco, brown sugar coated strands of coconut. I loved the sweet tobacco - Saturday morning pictures!! And I have never smoked - urgh!

Thanks Rob, I’ll do that. I’m really sorry for the abuse you get, I can’t understand how some people can be so vile. 🤗

I naively thought it would be better here, but it seems there’s still ugly commentators. Also weirdly I’m getting very odd ‘new followers’, and so far have 3x Kevin Costners and a Jason Momoa among random strangers though I haven’t really posted anything here 🤷‍♀️

I so loved that show - to the extent I delayed taking my 10yr old (now 53!) to A&E with a thumb injury from football - but in my defence he could still move it and only after calling them did we decide we ought to get it checked - ashamed to this day!🥴
