Totally agree. My dad died not long ago, and I was mildly relieved but mostly indifferent. No regrets about not having contact with him for years.

One of the UCP changes to the AB Bill of Rights was adding a notwithstanding clause in s 2.1. They were planning ahead so they could do this.
(The AB Human Rights Act already contained a notwithstanding clause in s 1, so they didn't need to change it).
