I've seen comments like that too sometimes. I think it mostly comes from people who want to dress their male characters like they came from the city dump.

I'm just gonna be honest, I pick my favourites based on looks first, then personality. If their appearance gets botched I hop off of that train and find another. Art and fictional characters are meant to be enjoyed as entertainment. I'm not making friends with it.

Tbf, every fandom has it's crazies. But I understand if certain crazies outweigh the experience for some. ;u;
