20 years ago I would be out partying all night (and so would my parents) for Chinese New Year. 🧧 We’d usually have a family dinner in the yard, light firecrackers, then everyone would go home and get dressed for the club! Now that I’m away from home and over 35, I just cook.

Moment of relaxation before you get back to all the BS we’re dealing with on the daily 🫠 The clouds were pretty and the crows were about as loud as the kids at recess in the school yard. More relaxing with the sound off 😂

Mauritian Chow Mien (it’s spelled correctly, it’s Hakka) and poached fish. The fish recipe is from Chef Chu’s book. Chef Chu in Los Altos used to be a go-to when I lived in the Bay Area. He also happens to be @jonmchu.bsky.social ‘s proud dad!
