Secular homeschooling family. Curriculum-masher. Book lover. Living life with an autoimmune disease.
Action packed, full of parental advice, both my tween and I loved this book. My tween wanted more connection to the sequel. (I think that could be its own book!)

This middle-grade book does a wonderful job portraying post-election violence in Kenya and how kids grapple with the unknown.

New website looking for people to give “tips” (turning in people who support human rights in education for investigation) by the Department of Education.

It would be a shame if this website was flooded with tips about Trump and Elon Musk instead of its intended use.

Such a shame. 😇

This is the English book that LitHouse Learning uses with their level 3 units. It reminds me of the Big Fat Notebooks from Workman Publishing. It’s a super easy read, and gives some of space to practice the concepts taught.

Watching Chopped.

Chef: “I’m going to make a latke and use this bun as a binder.”

My child: “If you think you need to use a bread as a binder to make a latke, you shouldn’t be making latkes.”

Truth.

Auschwitz was at the end of a long process. It did not start from gas chambers.

This hatred was gradually developed by humans. From ideas, words, stereotypes & prejudice through legal exclusion, dehumanization & escalating violence... to systematic and industrial murder.

Auschwitz took time.
