like they really want us to hate ourselves and our bodies. it truly is an active form of rebellion to love your body when they’re doing everything they can to profit of our misery and insecurities.

this is one of my new favorite books! delving into the often-overlooked experience of the women in WWII, this book reveals the pain, the power, and the strength of women during this time while also capturing the devastation and almost impossible decision-making that had to be done.

i’m usually the type to procrastinate wait to read the assigned pages up until the start of my book club meeting but this time i’ve already finished the reading and book club still has about 200 pages left. heartbreaking and inspiring all at once -
