Irrelevant Tom
@layabout99.bsky.social
Former brewer, current layabout.

I have well-diversified portfolio. I put half my life savings in Spacely Sprockets, and the other half in Cogswell Cogs.

As my wise old grandad used to say: "If you are ever in doubt: run in circles, scream and shout".

What are these beers produced by continuous fermentation so I may avoid them.

So never then.

I heard a weird and wacky theory lately that the world is a fair and just place.

Queen Anne?

Both are abominations in the eyes of the Lord.

Doing the same but in Cork .

This jokey headline denigrates the noble role of deer decoy that so many dedicated souls have bravely partaken.

He called him a gypsy.

I will be doing just that! I will be in Cork from Thursday.

Hopefully the Franciscan Well taps in pubs, and shelf space in stores will go to local independents.

Actually Pritchard is going well beyond the role player you characterize him as being. He is an exellent starter and a surging player for a team counted out at the start of the season.

Saying that Pritchard and Clark were "bunched together" because they are white is both idiotic and offensive.

Doesn't sound like an act of gross stupidity. Sounds like a pleasant night out, with good beer. I apologize for contradicting you though.

Reading the blog, it seems to say you had 6 Kernel beers and 3 of them were excellent in one day. Wish I could have a brewery like that around, wherever I live. Unless "excellent" means a lot less to you then it does to me. I can go months without having a beer I would term that.

Oh right. Completely forgot that.

McEwan had a brewery in Burton?

The lack of a successor seems to be a common problem. I guess back in the days when people were having families of 8+ children it was more likely that some of them would be willing to carry on with the brewing and managing than if they have 1 to 3 like nowadays.

Was there a reason given for the closure?

That's the second "Lang" brewery to close recently. Lang-Braeu in Wunsiedel closed last year.
