It’s a good word for him. I’ve always had a negative gut reaction to people like MJ. Too polished, too perfect, too pious, too shifty, too clever by half, too fucking full of himself. And to quote George Will when describing Mike Pence, “oleaginous”.

Yeah, you’re probably right. In retrospect I shouldn’t have posted my reply. It came off that I was being critical of Mr. Nichols which wasn’t my intent. I respect him very much. But I see some of the unjustifiable comments he gets and am just amazed how he continually deals with them.

The use of an old adage is, I think, appropriate here - “Never try to teach a pig to sing; it’ll only frustrate you and annoy the pig.” And no, the use of the word “pig” has no significance here; just how the saying goes. My point is we repeatedly do stupid shit over and over despite knowing better.
