The “Spotter” camera and video transmitter are $32usd and a low end set of analog goggles are about $70usd on AliExpress. This camera/transmitter can be moved from plane to plane easily (well placed 20lb velcro 😎). So for $100 plus shipping you are FPV’n!

Nice.

Digital is the way to go for crisp clean FPV experience, but analog is way cheaper, easier to set up and pretty darn good too.

The wingspan is 2 metres and I run a 4s 9000mah Lipo - flying weight is just shy of 8.5lbs.

How about you?

I use a DJI goggles along with a compatible and programmable air unit, and Ardupilot for set up (and RunCam camera if I plan to make a video).

I use light weight PLA and create a fuselage typically with walls (single layer) about 5mm apart - with an gyroid infill at 5%. Of course some areas like where the wing attach to the fuselage are a different set up and are usually tied in with the landing gear set up for strength. I design in Fus360
