I agree with you! It is also a warning for future victims that our DOJ will seek to expose you if you testify agains powerful men. I only hope that many in the DOJ will be fired and if they are lawyers, disbarred. I also hope that the DOJ will be forced to pay restitution to these re-victims.

No mass deportation quotas but focus on the “worst of the worst” that everyone wants. Doing that would de-escalate everything. No more random street pick ups just good solid police work. Smaller numbers also mean smaller concentration centers and faster court cases.

If ICE focused on the worse of the worse there would be little protest. However, the tactics that they employ and the people they are targeting pose little threat to the community, certainly less than ICE does.

As we focus on the worse atrocities think about all of the people in the detention (concentration) camps. All of these people are alleged criminals-well, in America aren’t we all innocent until proven guilty? Don’t we have the right to a speedy trial. Detention is for danger to the community.

ICE should be brought into court and answer to the contempt charges for not following the court order. The person responsible should be sentenced to the number of days they did not follow the order and placed in one of the “detention” centers.

It could be true. The conversation probably went something like this. “I am a vulnerable Republican senator up for reelection, if you don’t stop this the democrats will easily win this seat. Otherwise I will be forced to allow the budget bill to split out the homeland security portion.”

Well beyond my pay grade. All I know is that it worked in Maine where there were two dems and a republican. The republican always use to win because the dems split the vote.

I find it disquieting that I am agreeing with Rand Paul. Well, he has some power here as a senator he could back the plan to pull out the additional homeland security funds from the budget or vote with the dem to essential shut down part of the government.

As long as we do not know their names and their location I must assume that any ICE agent I see is one of the killers. To all ICE agents, since you hide your identity you all must be treated with the same distain.

What we need is rank choice voting. Otherwise a vote for a third party is a vote for the republican. Right now it is a “not trump” vote.

There is only so much the dems can do. At this point we have the leverage to withhold some funding to ICE, because the republicans refused to remove that funding from the package then the resulting shutdown is on the republicans. This is essentially what

Noem should be impeached however that is the job of the house. If the house would impeach then it is up to Elizabeth Warren and the rest of the senators to convict her. Noem resigning would be much faster.
