Studying social environmental science. Enthusiastic about plant-based diets & degrowth. Big fan of science, especially listening to it.
I appreciate you for being open! Dang, I have not been aware of this. That is very saddening to hear, I'll be looking into it for sure.

I agree with you that it needs to be highlighted, and I appreciate your effort to point it out, i think it's important to unite against the far-right. But simultaneously let's not forget to have grace for eachother, rather than assume the worst. I mean he listened, isn't that good?

Dont fear, we have this! Surely policy makers will use this supposedly core feature of EU policy.

Ensuring that polluters pay
A toolkit presenting economic instruments used in the EU to make polluters pay.

There's no point in arguing more I think, hard to progress when you have decided based on your own opinion as a.. ?? that ICC is trash and you know better. What about journalists and newspapers that have increasingly reported on Israel's war crimes against civilians? Gonna go full trump with "fake"?

And many other people's grandparents died early from preventable chronic diseases such as diabetes or lung cancer. That's why statistics are so useful, they add things up so we can draw conclusions based on a large number of observations. And these clearly show smoking and meat to be bad for health.

Glad we found some commonality! :)

The amount of slurs and tired one-liners really shows how both the level of debate and arguments left for Israel has declined. When proponents are stuck having to try to make the case they know better than the official international body of justice, you know the situation is dire for that side.

Great points! Which becomes even more scary when globalism and neocolonialism enters the picture, allowing corporations to set up in poorer countries making the workers and customers more and more separated groups.

And also, that doesn't negate the fact that the world's foremost neutral authority full of experts relevant to the subject deemed Israel to be doing atrocious things.

So use breastmilk and the problem is solved? Furthermore, regardless, meat and dairy consumption is not too high because of infants. It's because fully grown adults are consuming these, to their own detriment which drives up healthcare costs.

Helt galet, visar det man hade på känn men också vad man inte ens kunnat föreställa sig i sina värsta mardrömmar. Otroligt viktig och väl utförd journalistik!

Friend, the international court of justice has deemed Israel responsible of breaking the law and exercising apartheid on Palestinians. Can we please stop with the nonsense and just listen to the professionals?

And I can ask you to Google starved infants and you will see multiple incidents of omnivore parents doing the same. Rather than these inane tangents, why don't you consider the fact that all major dietetic associations recommend reducing meat intake, while promoting plant based diets as healthy?
January 9, 2025 at 11:27 PM
Given the upwards of 30 billion animals in the livestock and poultry industries, we've also got to reduce meat consumption. H5N1 can't infect us through plants! 🌱

Hope you feel better soon, and completely agree on your points regarding democracy! I think concepts like Steven Lukes 3D power can be powerful to popularize to this end, as they identify how oligarchies mask themselves as democracies through "thought control". Thankful for your new book for this! 🙏

When I Google people going to prison for starving their children, all the top results are omnivore parents. Irresponsible parents exist regardless of diet. Calcium is important yes, and readily available in plants, which is why, again, all dietetic associations recommend plant based diets.
January 9, 2025 at 10:35 PM
Healthy diets are indeed important. But crucially, meta-analyses indicate quite strongly that plant-based diets are inversely correlated with all-cause mortality, or in other words, people consuming plant based diets live longer lives, even when controlling for other lifestyle factors like smoking.
January 9, 2025 at 10:11 PM
The importance is whether the diets fulfill protein requirements. This has been studied comprehensively, finding both diets fulfill protein requirements, which is exactly why basically all dietetic associations state that a plant based diet is healthy for all healthy humans at all stages of life.
