The entire supporting cast is wasted. Buzz, Jessie, etc. they literally contribute nothing. I can go on and on about how bloated the script for Toy Story 4 is, it’s literally like three of those Toy Story half hour tv specials smashed together.

I never used the term Mary Sue to describe a character before I saw this film. Mufasa is the textbook definition of a Mary Sue.

It is very much a relic of its time, which I consider a feature not a bug, especially with what it contributed to female-led films. There’s an earnest sincerity to it almost never seen in the snarky tongue-in-cheek disposition prevailing Hollywood films today.

This is why I’ve been on Tumblr since 2011.

This movie did a lot right. The audio mixing was not it.

The sad thing is if this was made 35 years ago, those dragons would be Jim Henson puppets and they would actually look amazing, instead of CGI shlock.
