I wrote 317 new words. I've been frozen by the fear that this book won't be good enough....for over a year—so those words are precious. A massive shout-out to the brilliant, @slconey.bsky.social for reminding me—it's only a first draft...just write it and worry about that other stuff later.

I had an R&R with my first book, but ultimately I went with a different agent (who later died) because at the time I didn't think the suggestions worked for the novel. In hindsight, I think she was right. So, sit with the notes and take some time to decide if they resonate with you. Best of luck!
