A bit shaky after a near miss from tornadic rotation. I don't know if a tornado was actually on the ground, but the center passed about half a mile to the west. Howling winds and lots of limbs down from trees, but no building damage that I can detect. Stay safe!

Working from home, enjoying the blustery day with open windows when I heard a loud roaring approaching through the trees. Alarmed, I looked up just as a massive gust front hit and sent every paper in my room flying.

If you're in the mid-west, it's going to be a wild night.

At 9:30, Mediacom has finally updated the ETA for resolution of the internet outage. The new time: 11pm. Yay.

Mediacom internet has been offline since 3:30pm CST. Original ETA for a fix was 6pm, followed by 7pm, then 8pm. Outage is still active, but the ETA hasn't updated yet at 8:17pm.

How did I miss all of this? This should have reverberated loudly through all social media I follow.
