FYI, Dr. Santos is playing Filipino in the Pitt. Santos is a common last name in the Philippines - due to the whole Spanish conquistador thing you mentioned. She actually surprises the nurses by speaking Filipino later in the show.

The Northeast is full of these conservative "democrats." Calling yourself a democrat out there is pretty meaningless. Hochul is from the far west of New York, which is more similar to western Pennsylvania than Manhattan. Old money and backroom deals still run the show.

I don't really like body horror or even horror in general all that much. But I find my anxiousness over it is usually worse than the actual movie. I really loved the movie personally.

My guess is it was a plexiglass tank and the camera was on the other side and not in the water. Just a guess.
